Privacy policy

This website is purely informational. It sets no cookies and embeds no third-party content; fonts are served by this website itself. For audience measurement we use a cookieless service of our own (section 3). Personal data is processed only to the extent described below. The German version of this policy is authoritative.

1. Controller

ETRA GmbH
Neben dem Mühlweg 28
65474 Bischofsheim
E-mail: info@etrabase.com

Further details can be found in the legal notice.

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., 512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (“Netlify”) and delivered through its global content delivery network. When you access the pages, Netlify automatically processes information transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of access, page or file requested, amount of data transferred, referrer URL, browser type and operating system.

This processing is based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in providing the website securely, reliably and quickly, and in defending against attacks. Netlify stores the log data only briefly (usually for less than 30 days) and does not merge it with other data.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Netlify pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Insofar as data is processed in the USA, the transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (Art. 46 (2)(c) GDPR), which form part of that agreement. Further information: netlify.com/privacy.

3. Audience measurement

To understand which content on this website is used, we measure its reach with our own service at leitstand.etrabase.com. It runs on our own server, sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.

It records:

Your IP address is not stored. Together with the browser’s user agent, it only feeds a hash that lets us count visits per day. The random value used for it changes daily and is then discarded, so you are not recognised on other days.

If “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” is set in your browser, no measurement takes place. All recorded data is deleted after 180 days.

The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is understanding how this website is used and improving our offering. You can prevent the measurement at any time by switching on “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser; your right to object under section 7 remains unaffected.

4. Contact by e-mail

If you contact us by e-mail, for example via the “Request access” button, we process your e-mail address and the details in your message in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where the enquiry is aimed at concluding a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries). The data is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require otherwise.

5. Linked application

The “Sign in” button takes you to the Etra Atlas application. Use of the application is governed by the privacy information provided there; this policy relates exclusively to this informational website.

6. Your rights

With regard to the personal data concerning you, you have the following rights against us:

To exercise your rights, an e-mail to info@etrabase.com is sufficient.

7. Right to object

Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms.

8. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. The authority responsible for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Gustav-Stresemann-Ring 1, 65189 Wiesbaden.

9. Encryption

The website is delivered exclusively via HTTPS (TLS). You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar.

10. Changes

We will update this privacy policy if the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
