Frequently asked questions

Quick answers.

What is MineGo?

MineGo is a web application from Etra that companies use to track the condition of their mines. Engineers in the field record their mines and, after every shift or inspection, write a report with measurements and photos. Overseers see all mines on one overview, open every report and give feedback.

MineGo runs on Etra's own server in Germany, alongside Etra Atlas. MineGo accounts are separate accounts; you do not need access to Etra Atlas.

How do I get access to MineGo?

MineGo is by invitation only; you cannot register yourself. A person with the Overseer role adds you under “People” and sends you a one-time link. With it you set your password, at least ten characters, and are then signed in.

The invitation link is valid for seven days and works only once. If it has expired, ask your overseer for a new one; older links then stop working. If your company would like to use MineGo, write to us via the contact form or at info@etrabase.com.

Where and how do I sign in?

Open mine.etrabase.com in your browser, on a computer or on your phone. Sign in with the email address your overseer registered for you and with your password.

As long as you use MineGo regularly, you stay signed in on the device; after 14 days without use, you sign in again. On devices that are not your own, select “Sign out” when you finish work.

I have forgotten my password. What now?

Contact your overseer. They create a reset link under “People” and send it to you. With the link you choose a new password with at least ten characters.

The link is valid for 48 hours and works only once; older links then stop working. If you still know your password and only want to change it, you can do this yourself at any time under “Account”.

Which roles are there?

MineGo has two roles:

  • Engineer: works in the field, adds mines, writes reports with measurements and photos and sees their own mines, overdue reports and feedback from overseers on their start page.
  • Overseer: sees all mines on the overview, opens and reviews reports, invites people, sends reset links, changes roles and deactivates accounts.

You can see which role you have under “Account”. A different role is assigned by your overseer.

How do I write a report with photos?

Engineers write reports directly on the mine's page:

  1. Open the mine and select “New report”.
  2. Enter the date, the type of report, such as daily report, inspection, incident or maintenance, and a title.
  3. Choose the state of the mine: Normal, Attention or Critical. Describe your findings and, where necessary, problems and next steps.
  4. Enter measurements, such as ore mined or methane, or your own values with a unit.
  5. Attach photos, on a phone directly with the camera, and submit the report.

MineGo reduces the size of the photos before uploading them. Overseers see the report and photos straight away.

Can I change a report afterwards?

Yes, as long as an overseer has not reviewed it yet. Open the report and select “Edit”. Until then you can edit and delete your own reports and add photos to them.

After the review, the report stays as it is. If something is wrong after that, write a new report or talk to your overseer. You can read other engineers' reports but not change them.

What does the state register show?

The state register on the overseers' overview lists all open mines, most urgent first, with state, stage, last report, responsible person and ore mined. Above it, a totals bar counts the mines, the critical ones, those needing attention, the overdue ones and the reports not yet reviewed.

A mine's state is the state from its latest report. A mine with no report for seven days counts as overdue. Clicking a mine shows trends for every measurement, all reports and the photos.

How does an overseer review a report?

The overseer opens the report from the overview or under “Reports”. Measurements, problems and photos are all on one page. With “Mark as reviewed” they mark it as reviewed, optionally with a note to the engineer.

The engineer sees the note on their start page. Reviewed reports show the reviewer's name and the time of the review and can no longer be changed afterwards.

Which languages is MineGo available in?

The interface is available in Turkish and English. On your first visit, MineGo follows your browser's language. You can switch on the sign-in page, in the side menu and under “Account”; the choice applies to that device.

Fixed measurements such as ore mined or methane appear in the reader's language. Anything someone types in by hand stays as it was written.

Can I use MineGo on my phone?

Yes. MineGo runs in the browser, on a computer and on a phone, without installation. Open mine.etrabase.com in your phone's browser and sign in. You take photos directly with the camera.

When you add a mine, MineGo can use your current location as GPS coordinates if you allow this in the browser. Save the page as a bookmark or on your home screen, and it opens with one tap.

Who do I ask if I have problems?

Your overseer answers questions about your access, your role or a new link; they manage the accounts in MineGo. For technical problems, or if your company would like to use MineGo, write to us via the contact form or by email to info@etrabase.com.

Briefly describe what you wanted to do, what happened and on which page. Never send us your password.
